Low Voltage Technician

Seeking Low Voltage Lead Field Manager Technicians to install voice, data, video, AV, PA and CCTV for large and small projects, as well as routine maintenance and troubleshooting on existing systems. Must feel comfortable working for a small family owned business with the interest in growing and expanding with the company and within the company. Have skills to lead and manage small and large crews effectively and successfully. Comfortable motivating and disciplining crew when necessary.

Requirements:
Minimum 10 years experience with a minimum of 3 years managing crews
School Degree or GED plus some technical training desired
Ability to organize, stage, direct, communicate, and train a crew as well as maintain a professional communication with company management and customers.
Manage field documents and communicate work performed through company daily required paperwork
Manage material being used to complete project and avoid damage, loss and waste
Follow and enforce all safety practices required while keeping a clean and safe work environment
Ability to motivate and meet or exceed project deadlines
Ability to read blue prints and schematic drawings
Ability to operate hand and power tools – must be able to provide own basic hand tools
Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service
Valid Drivers License with clean driving record
Ability to work in attics, manholes and confined spaces
Ability to climb ladders and work on scissor lifts
Ability to lift 30 – 50 lbs

Other Requirements:
Minimum 3 years experience with installation, termination and troubleshooting of fiber
Minimum 2 years experience with installation and troubleshooting of Bogen and/or Extron products
Available to work overtime, double-time, weekends and work various shifts
Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines
Will be required to use your own vehicle when reporting directly to job sites
Clear DOJ/FBI background required under public contract projects.

Additional Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stoop, reach, stand, walk, lift, pull, push, grasp, climb, talk, hear, see and use complex repetitive motions. May frequently lift and or move at least 75 pounds of materials, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as to read handwritten or typed material and the ability to adjust focus.
